WHC Elkhart is inviting the community to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on April 20, and we need to have you with us to welcome them!

Whether you know the days before Easter as Holy Week, Passion Week or simply the time before Resurrection Sunday, it’s a shame that too much of the church doesn’t fully appreciate it. We celebrate Christmas for a month or longer, but Easter seems to sneak up on us, doesn’t it? Yet it is an observance of a period of time crucial to our faith.

The prophet Daniel prophesied the very day that Jesus Christ would enter triumphantly into Jerusalem, and days later Jesus submitted to a sacrificial death before His triumphant resurrection. We serve a living Savior! It’s a truth that cannot be proclaimed often enough or emphatically enough, because it is what makes Christianity distinct from every other faith tradition.

WHC is planning a Resurrection Sunday celebration April 20 that befits the magnitude of the event it celebrates. Pastor Parsley will preach a salvation message as only he can. Our altars have been full on a weekly basis as the message of transformation has taken hold of this congregation – can you imagine what it will be like on Easter Sunday, when the tabernacle is full of men, women and children who rarely attend church at all?

Children at WHC Elhart on April 20 will be part of The Kid Harvest House Party, featuring an Easter egg hunt with 10,000 eggs and a 10-foot Peep.
